Fractal Geometry – Geometric Fractal Art

Fractals are considered a significant branch of geometry – specifically referred to as fractal geometry.

While Euclidean geometry focuses on smooth, orderly shapes (spheres, cones), fractal geometry is often called the “geometry of nature” because it addresses the infinite complexity and roughness of the real world.

“Benoit Mandelbrot: Coined the term “fractal” (from Latin fractus, meaning “broken”) in 1975, popularizing the field with his work on the “Fractal Geometry of Nature”.
